About Helen
Helen is a compassionate, wise and gentle soul who takes a client-centred approach in her counselling work. She supports individuals, couples and families experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, and those preparing for marriage. She is dedicated to helping her clients gain clarity, resilience, healing and a renewed sense of direction during life’s more challenging seasons.
Her work draws on a range of counselling modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Gottman’s Couples Counselling, Prepare and Enrich and Christian counselling. Helen takes a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and spirit, believing that meaningful and lasting change occurs when the whole person is supported rather than focusing solely on symptoms.
Her additional training includes a focus on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Milan Systemic Therapy, Grief and Loss, Burnout Recovery and Workplace Wellbeing.
Having migrated to Australia in 2003, she has a lived experience within a migrant community and is deeply committed to supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. She understands the complexities of multicultural experiences and the unique challenges faced by immigrants and those in multicultural marriages.
Helen holds a Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia (CCAA) and the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA). She also holds qualifications in accounting and business. Her professional experience includes working with organisations such as Pregnancy Problem House and the Organisational Counselling Employee Assistance Program.
Helen brings a wealth of professional and personal experience and offers a safe, supportive, and respectful space where clients can feel heard and supported as they work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
