PHONE, SKYPE AND EMAIL SESSIONS
Are you a FIFO worker, a busy single parent, find it difficult to get out of the house, living in regional Australia, a full time carer or just simply time poor like so many of us are these days?
Bethesda Counselling may have a workable solution for you. Safe and flexible counselling solutions are offered via phone, Skype and email sessions. No matter where you are in Australia, you can have access to support from Bethesda’s experienced online counsellor.
What Do You Need?
All you need is a phone and/or a computer with Internet connection. Online counselling involves one-on-one conversation with a counsellor via Skype or email, so your connection should be stable and reliable.
What To Expect?
Once you place an enquiry through the website by filling in the contact form, you will be contacted by Narelle via email who will ask you for a few details of what you are looking for, how she may be able to meet your needs and to answer any queries you may have.
If you believe that Bethesda Counselling can meet your needs for counselling by phone/email/Skype sessions, then an appointment time will be arranged with you. You will be asked to make a transfer of funds to an appointed bank account 24 hours prior to your session. Please see the fee schedule on the FAQ page.
Before your first session, you will be asked to fill out a Confidential Information Form requesting some background history on yourself and why you are seeking counselling. You will also be asked to read through the terms and conditions and sign a therapy agreement form online and email it back to your counsellor.
As part of your first session, your counsellor will invite you to share your concerns and issues and ask you what you are hoping to achieve through counselling/therapy. With this information, your counsellor will then be able to develop a plan to meet your personal needs and give you an estimate of how many sessions you may require. It’s important that you provide honest information, as this will determine the results you’ll get from the therapy.
Phone and Skype sessions are 50 – 60 minutes in duration.
Email sessions are worked out in a slightly different format of 4 email responses + 1 closing comment to you from your counsellor per session. (A total of 5 comments/responses from your counsellor constitutes one session). Your counsellor will reply to each of your emails within 24 – 48 hours of receiving.
